Dr.Hard H. Vasavada
Coming from neuro-surgical family background, Dr.Hard Vasavada has completed his M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) from one of the renowned institute Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
Professional Experience
During his training, he had been involved in the management of more than 1500 complex Neuro and Spine surgeries. He has performed many neurosurgical emergency procedures (EVD placement, VP shunt, decompressive craniectomy, emergency spinal procedures, etc.) He has special interest in the field of endovascular neuro-interventions which include endovascular coiling for aneurysms, mechanical thrombectomy for strokes and other interventions for complex neuro-vascular abnormalities.
He has also vast experience in handling complex spine surgeries which include tumours, trauma, degenerative spine diseases, and infectious spine diseases and he is trained for non-invasive spinal interventions like an epidural steroid injection nerve root block, and fascial block.
Also, during his training, he has been involved in at least 100 robotic neurosurgeries (ROSA) which are the recent most in neurosurgery and it is available in very few centers in India.
To minimize the risk of open surgical intervention he is also trained for endoscopic (Endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV), Endoscopic evacuation of ICH, endoscopic biopsy of ventricular lesions), and stereotactic neurosurgeries (stereotactic biopsy of eloquent cortex lesion, multiple brain lesions, stereotactic aspiration of thalamic hematomas, etc). Apart from that, he has gained experience in various pediatric neurosurgeries, skull base surgeries, and epilepsy surgeries also.
Along with his clinical experience, he has been very active for his ongoing medical upgradations and has presented many research papers at national and international conferences like the Annual State Conference of Neurological society of India, Kerala Chapter, SKULLBASECON 2017, NEUROVASCON 2017, Indian Society of Neuro Vascular Surgery conference, etc.
